Azealia Banks: Descendants of Slave Traders Owe Black Americans Trillions
Following her viral Hot 97 interview where she went in on Iggy Azalea, Azealia Banks spent the last week of December tweeting vigorously about what she says is owed to black Americans. But this time she is going far beyond a critique of cultural appropriation. On December 26, Banks called for the descendants of slave traders to pay $100 trillion to black Americans as reparations for slavery.
The current generations of children who are descended from slave traders just inherited their parents debt. And they need to pay.

Not even Christmas got in the way of her Twitter flow. She put forth an analysis of how capitalism has grown with anti-blackness through the holiday. Despite the haters no doubt clogging up her Twitter feed, she has continued citing specific families like DeWolf and slavery profiteering corporations like JP Morgan Chase, linking to articles about restitution paid to indigenous peoples, and calling out Macklemore on his general cluelessness.
The infamous "40 acres and a mule" after slavery has been turned into that $40 and metrocard they give you when you get out of jail.

What stands out most to us is how Banks seems willing to put everything on the line, including her music career. Here’s to culture pushing artists to become more intense and radical with every passing moment. ::clink::
I would give up my music career to fight for reparations. To even the score once and for all.
